  1. Wear gloves.
  2. Tie back long hair.No loose sleeves, scarves or jewellery. The screw can catch them.
  3. Check the hopper is empty.Look only. Never reach into the screw.
  4. Check all covers and guards are closed.Never run the feeder with a cover open.
  5. Check the outlet is clear.The next machine must be ready to take the waste.
  6. Check no one is near the feeder.
  7. Switch on.Let it run empty for a few seconds. Listen for knocking or grinding.

  8. Never put your hand or a stick into the feeder while it is on. The screw can pull you in.

  9. Never stand or climb on the feeder.

Never open the control panel or touch the wiring. If you feel an electric shock, switch off the main MCB and call us at once.
